Under 25 Champions Crowned….
|Congratulations to Kelly McKerihen and Dylan Jacobs who were crowned under 25 Champions this weekend in Montreal.
In the girls the gold medal match, Kelly McKerihen from Ontario defeated Amanda Berg from Alberta in a tie-breaker set to become the 2011 World Junior Cup Champion. Kelly has now won this title for three consecutive years. In the bronze medal game, Katie Patenaude (Ontario) beat Jaymee Sidel (British Columbia) to capture the bronze medal.
In the boys action the gold medal match featured, Dylan Jacobs from Ontario defeated Michael Pituley from Saskatchewan in a tie-breaker set to win the 2011 World Junior Cup Selection. This is Dylans second World Junior Cup title having previously won in 2009. In an all Ontario bronze medal match, Jacob Schuknecht beat Trevor Whyte to clam the bronze medal.
